What happens if I accidentally register a work that isn't mine?

Account & Registration

If you have registered a work through Humark that you did not create or do not have the right to register, contact support immediately at support@humark.id. Do not wait.

Every Humark registration creates a permanent record that includes your biometric signature, a cryptographic hash of the asset, a timestamp, and your creator attestation declaring the work is human-made and original. This record cannot be deleted.

Contacting support promptly allows us to flag the registration, begin the review process, and document the circumstances. If the registration was a genuine mistake, the record will be annotated accordingly.

If the Registration Was Not a Mistake

If the registration was not a mistake, the consequences are significant. The creator attestation you signed is a legally binding declaration. Fraudulent attestation creates permanent legal liability under your identity. This may include:

  • Civil liability under applicable fraud and misrepresentation statutes
  • Account termination
  • In commercial contexts, potential criminal exposure

We designed the system this way deliberately. The permanence and legal weight of each registration is what makes the Humark badge meaningful. Please take every registration seriously.
